About Small Town Testimonies
Small Town Testimonies began as the vision of 15-year-old Blain Poynor, a young creative from Eagleville, Tennessee, who wanted to showcase the extraordinary ways God’s grace and miracles manifest in everyday lives. His concept was born out of a competition called “The Shakedown,” hosted by Choose Different Media and the Christian Television Network, to find fresh ideas for faith-based television. Blain’s proposal stood out for its simplicity and profound impact: sharing real stories of faith from his small-town community.
With the support of Choose Different Media, Blain’s idea was brought to life through a $20,000 production grant and a college scholarship from WHTN/CTN in Nashville. The series aired weekly on the Christian Television Network and is now available on the Choose Different TV YouTube channel, where it continues to inspire viewers across the globe.
